UAW-QUAD is an organization of activists within UAW 2865. We believe
that there is a lack of democracy and transparency in our union. Because of these problems, we fail to take advantage of our unique position as Academic Student Employees, which should give us real power to challenge the UC administration for the benefit of ourselves, our students,
our fellow UC workers, and other members of our communities.
UAW-QUAD was formed at UC Santa Cruz in 2006. We have joined together with reformers and rank-and-file members since then to become active at most UC campuses.
